I LOVE SPRING!!!

I am super excited that Spring is here!!  I am a lover of the changing of the seasons and God's timing is perfect.  He gives you just enough of one to be completely stoked about the next season.  Signs of spring make me happy: birds making nests, pretty green lawns, daffodils and tulips popping up, kids wanting to play outside more, sweet strawberries, our handmade Easter decorations, grilling out with friends... I could go on and on.  I feel a sense of awe and wonder when I look outside at this amazing world that was created for us. I was reading one of my favorite blogs written by Cassandra Martin and I loved the way she talked about spring. "As trees move from brown to green and the earth is pushed aside so new plants can reach for the sun, we get to see the realities and the possibilities of the resurrection play out over and over.  Every sign of new life is meant to remind us that transformation is not only possible, but God's purpose for our hearts." We are expected to change and to grow.  That's what is so awesome about Springtime, everything starts to grow again.  I pray that I'm constantly growing and changing.   I want to have an attitude of gratitude, and I want my light to shine brighter. 

One of my favorite things to do is see my family together.  Ellie was saying that she loves when the family just all goes outside and plays.  I get it... I do to.  There is something great about just being able to enjoy each other outside.  Last night after dinner we went outside to ride bikes.  Hayden's buddy, Brody, has recently mastered the 2-wheeler which is putting some well deserved pressure on my boy to want to do the same. Daddy helped him a little, but he could ride once he got started.  I'm so thankful that my kids have a daddy that wants to go outside and play with his kids.  (But I digress... that is a whole other blog post.)  We've learned Ellie has pretty much outgrown her bike and Hayden has pretty much outgrown his helmet, they are growing for sure!!! ;-) Springtime Fun!!  I'm lovin' it!!
