Easter was so fun for us this year!! I love traditions, and it has become a tradition in the Powell house to hide Easter baskets for the kids to find, just as my parents did when I was younger. The kids found their baskets and started working on some candy before we even had breakfast!! We went to church, our friend Laura and her girls, Alysa and Becca, came with us. After church we had a big dinner at the house. Our neighbors, The Brady's, joined us as well as some great friends, the McMasters. We ended up with 7 adults and 9 kids and a house full of fun! After dinner, the guys went and hid the eggs while the kids eagerly awaited the egg hunt. We sent the little kids out first. Hayden found one egg and then would rather play with the Power Wheels Jeep then hunt eggs. Ellie on the other hand found a basket full of eggs. She had so much fun. This was the fourth year we've had a big dinner and an egg hunt and I LOVE it!!! The idea of starting traditions with my family means so much to me, and knowing that we've got friends in on it too whose tradition for Easter is to come to our house, just makes me so happy!! After the egg hunt, we played Settler's of Catan and then some dominoes. You know that you're having a great time when your friends come over around 1:30 in the afternoon and don't leave until after 11:00 at night! It was so much fun though!! Monday morning going into work and having to wake up at 5:00 was a little rough, but it was worth it!! Happy Easter everyone!! Hope you had as great a day as we did!
