Happy Anniversary - 7 years!
Monday morning, 2/22/10 woke up with a sweet kiss and a "Happy Anniversary" from Justin. That was about the extent of the great part of the day. Typical Monday morning. Tired, wishing I didn't have to go into work, feeling like the weekend was way too short. Driving into work on Route 9, listening to the Kane show and BAM! a deer runs out right in front of me. Unfortunately, I killed it with my relatively new car. I hate to sound heartless, but I was way more upset about the damage done to my car then the deer. The whole front left side of my car was gone. Great! Of course this makes me late to work. When I finally get to work I spend every break I had on the phone with the insurance company and body shop to try to find out how much it was going to cost me and where to take my car. After work, I take my car to the auto shop and Enterprise comes to pick me up. The car I get from them is a...wait for it....awesome white PT Cruiser. Oh yeah, don't be jealous. I get the opportunity to tool around in a car that every time I look at it the Flintstone's theme song pops into my head. It is very ugly, smelly, and dirty. I am thankful that I was able to at least have a car to drive though. So... the day continues. After much thought and budgeting, Justin and I decided that we needed to find a childcare provider closer to home. The difference in price is over $100 a week, and the kids will spend literally hours less of time in the car per day. The bad thing is, we had to tell our current sitter, whom we love that we were not going to be using her anymore. It was really difficult and heart breaking, and if anyone reading this needs a wonderful babysitter in the Leesburg area, let me know. By this time the sun is setting, the kids and I met Justin at Quizno's for a very romantic fast food dinner, before he had to run to class for the rest of the night. We got to spend our anniversary with him at class all night and me trying to destress from the day. I write all this, because it was really a bad day for me, but really, if this is as bad as it gets... we have a pretty happy life.
