Going and Coming

Saying goodbye is never something that is fun. Saying goodbye for weeks is even worse. I felt like we had the longest string of goodbyes imaginable. Starting in June we had our first get together of neighborhood friends for a going away party. It was so fun, grilling, playing washers, eating some more, playing more games. When all the kids are crashed out on the floor, you know it's been a good party. I love that we had the kind of neighbors like John and Dottie that would come to my kids gymnastics shows and take pictures as if my kids were their own grand kids. And when the girls would come over on Monday nights and we'd chat, study the bible, drink wine, scrapbook, etc. we'd really experience time flying when you're having fun. As the school year completed I was overwhelmed with the thoughtfulness of my fifth grade students. A surprise song and beautiful flowers at our fifth grade graduation ceremony, it was awesome. I was overcome with emotion. I was bawling again as I had to say goodbye to Bob and Eric whom I work with on our fifth grade team, and the other Countryside folks too. I can't imagine any other co-workers bringing me so much joy and happiness at work (and outside of work). Then, my dearest friends from our Bible study group that just spent a whole evening packing my kitchen. AWESOME FRIENDS!!! I'm slowly acclimating to not having Alisha, Laura and Renae to hang out with whenever I feel like it, and trust me... we've been texting regularly. :-)

Now we are in Fort Mill. I'm not really sure how to sum it up any better than to say...we love it here. We've decided on a church that we want to serve at. I've been so blessed to already become friends with a wonderful woman that I'm quite convinced God put in my path because He knew I needed her. She's got two little girls and our kids all play together great. Hayden goes into his Bible class and is excited that Grace, her daughter is there! We are so blessed to live in a beautiful home, too. We have way more land around our property than we ever did in West Virginia which also means way more wildlife. So far I've personally seen rabbits, frogs, lizards, mice all on our property alone. For a city girl...that's a bunch!!! We decided to buy some four wheelers to ride on the trails around our house, which has been SOO fun!!

The kids have adjusted better than I could imagine. I can't believe that Ellie will be starting school in a few weeks. She already made friends with a little girl that will go to her new school. Life is soo good here, oh yeah, and the best part is living with my husband again after being separated since February!! I'm blessed beyond measure!!
